Enterprise SEO for large and complex websites
When a site has hundreds of thousands of URLs, several teams and a release cycle, SEO becomes an engineering and governance problem. That's the work we do.
Problems we fix
- New pages taking weeks to get indexed
- Googlebot crawling parameters and filters instead of products
- Hreflang errors serving the wrong market
- A release breaking canonicals or noindex sitewide
- Search Console data that doesn't reflect the site's size
- Traffic loss after a migration or redesign
How we approach Enterprise SEO
At enterprise scale the problems are rarely about a missing meta description. They're about Google spending its crawl on parameter URLs while new pages wait weeks to be found, a template change in one team quietly breaking canonicals across a whole section, or an international setup sending the wrong country's page to searchers.
We work as a senior technical layer alongside your in-house team, product managers and engineers: we find the issues in logs and crawl data, write them up as tickets your engineers can ship, and put checks in place so the same problems don't come back with the next release.
What's included
- Log file analysis
- What Googlebot actually crawls, how often and where it wastes effort, using server logs rather than crawler estimates.
- Crawl budget and indexation
- Parameter handling, faceted URLs, pagination, sitemaps and internal linking tuned so important pages get crawled and indexed quickly.
- Migrations and replatforms
- Domain, CMS and architecture migrations planned with URL mapping, pre-launch QA on staging and post-launch monitoring.
- International SEO
- Hreflang, ccTLD versus subfolder decisions and localisation, so each market gets its own version of the page.
- JavaScript and rendering
- Framework-heavy sites checked for what Google can see in the rendered HTML, with SSR or pre-rendering recommendations where content is hidden.
- SEO governance
- Release checklists, automated monitoring and team training, so SEO becomes part of how the site gets built rather than a clean-up afterwards.
Who it's for
Large publishers and marketplaces
Sites where millions of pages are generated from data and crawl efficiency decides what gets found.
Multi-market brands
Businesses running several countries or languages from one platform.
In-house SEO teams
Heads of SEO who need senior technical capacity for a migration, a recovery or a backlog the team can't get to.
How the work runs
- 1
Stakeholder discovery
Who owns templates, releases and content, and where SEO currently sits in the process.
- 2
Data audit
Logs, a segmented crawl, Search Console at the property and directory level, and analytics, joined into one view of the site.
- 3
Prioritised backlog
Issues sized by traffic affected and engineering effort, written as tickets in your existing tooling.
- 4
Embedded delivery
We join stand-ups or sprint reviews as needed, QA releases on staging and confirm fixes in production.
- 5
Monitoring
Automated checks on status codes, indexability and canonicals across key templates, so regressions are caught within days rather than quarters.
Enterprise SEO questions
Something else? Ask us directly.
How do you work with our engineering team?
Through tickets in the tools you already use, written with the problem, evidence, proposed fix and acceptance criteria. We QA on staging before release and verify in production after.
Do you need access to server logs?
For crawl budget work, yes. Logs are the only direct record of what search engine bots request. We can work with sampled or filtered exports if full access isn't possible.
Can you support a migration that's already been scheduled?
Yes. The earlier we're involved the better, but even a few weeks before launch we can map high-value URLs, check redirects and set up monitoring for the switch-over.
Is this a retainer or a project?
Both work. Migrations and audits suit fixed projects, while ongoing technical ownership suits a retainer. We'll recommend one after discovery.
