Always Evolving SEO

Technical SEO that gets the right pages crawled, indexed and ranked

Crawling, indexing, rendering, internal linking and page experience. Diagnosed from Search Console and real crawl data, and fixed in the order that moves traffic.

From £3,000 a month · 3-month minimum

Problems we fix

  • Important pages marked 'crawled, currently not indexed'
  • Google choosing a different canonical from yours
  • Content that only appears after JavaScript runs
  • Redirect chains and loops left over from old redesigns
  • Poor Core Web Vitals on key templates
  • Orphaned pages with no internal links

How we approach Technical SEO

A technical audit that lists 400 issues isn't much use. Most crawler warnings affect pages nobody visits, and a handful of real problems, like a canonical pointing the wrong way on a key template or an important section Google can't render, quietly cost far more than everything else on the list combined. Our job is to find those few, prove them with data and get them fixed.

We start from Google's own view of your site: the Search Console page indexing report, crawl stats and URL inspection, alongside a full rendered crawl. Where the two disagree is usually where the problem is. Every fix goes to your developers as a ticket with evidence, the change required and how we'll confirm it worked.

What's included

Indexing diagnosis
Every reason in the Search Console page indexing report traced back to its cause: 'crawled, currently not indexed', duplicates without a user-selected canonical, soft 404s and pages blocked by mistake.
Crawl and architecture review
A rendered crawl of the whole site, click depth, orphan pages, redirect chains and parameter URLs, set against what Googlebot actually requests.
Canonicals, redirects and duplication
Canonical signals, hreflang, trailing slashes, protocol and www variants made consistent, so each piece of content has one URL that collects all its signals.
JavaScript rendering
We compare the raw HTML with what Google renders, and flag content, links or metadata that only appear after scripts run.
Core Web Vitals
LCP, INP and CLS diagnosed from field data, not just a lab score, with the specific elements and scripts responsible identified for your developers.
Internal linking
Link equity pointed at the pages that earn revenue, with sensible anchor text and no important page more than a few clicks from the homepage.

Who it's for

Sites with indexing problems

Pages that should rank aren't indexed, or Google keeps choosing a different URL from the one you want.

Teams shipping on modern frameworks

React, Next.js, Vue or headless builds where nobody is quite sure what Google sees.

Businesses after an unexplained drop

Traffic fell and there's no obvious update to blame. Technical regressions are the first thing to rule out.

How the work runs

  1. 1

    Data pull

Search Console, crawl stats, analytics and, where available, server logs, gathered before any crawling starts.

  2. 2

    Full rendered crawl

A JavaScript-rendered crawl segmented by template, so issues are traced to the template that causes them.

  3. 3

    Impact ranking

Each issue sized by the traffic and revenue of the pages it touches, then ordered by impact against effort.

  4. 4

    Developer tickets

Problem, evidence, fix and acceptance criteria, written for your tracker and walked through with your developers.

  5. 5

    Verification

We check fixes on staging, confirm them in production and watch Search Console until Google has processed the change.

Technical SEO questions

What's the difference between a technical audit and a crawl report?

A crawl report lists everything a tool can detect. An audit decides which of those things matter for your site, proves it with Search Console and traffic data, and tells you what to fix first. You get the second.

Why are my pages 'crawled, currently not indexed'?

Google crawled the page and chose not to index it, usually because it judged the page too similar to others, too thin or not important enough given how the site links to it. The fix depends on which of those it is, which is what the audit establishes.

Do Core Web Vitals affect rankings?

They're part of Google's page experience signals, but relevance and quality matter far more. Poor vitals rarely sink a strong page on their own. We treat them as worth fixing on templates that carry revenue, not as a headline ranking lever.

Can you implement the fixes yourselves?

On many platforms, including WordPress, Shopify and HubSpot, yes. On custom builds we write the tickets and work with your developers, then verify the result.

How much does Technical SEO cost?

Retainers start from £3,000 a month with a minimum three-month term. The exact fee depends on the size of your site and how much delivery we take on. You'll get a fixed monthly figure in the proposal after the discovery call, with no surprise extras.

Why is there a three-month minimum?

The first month is mostly audit and planning, and search changes need time to be crawled, processed and measured. Three months is the shortest period in which you can fairly judge whether the work is paying off.
