Google Ads Expands AI Brief to Seven Languages and Previews AI Max Journey Reporting

Google announced two AI Max updates on 23 September 2026: AI Brief is expanding to more languages, and a new reporting view is coming that ties search terms to creative assets and landing pages. The reporting feature has no release date yet.
AI Brief expands
AI Brief lets advertisers guide AI Max in natural language, supplying business context, audience information and key messaging. It had been in closed beta. Google's announcement says it is now expanding to Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
Google's post doesn't say how many advertisers get access, or whether the expansion is a full launch or a wider beta. Check your account before assuming it is available.
The new AI Max reporting view
Google describes the new reporting as "a single, unified view of the Search ads journey — making it easy to see what search terms triggered your ads, which creative assets the user saw, and exactly where they landed on your website."
Google says it will "share additional details and availability later this year." That is the only timing given, so it isn't yet a release date. Google also hasn't said which fields are included, how granular the data is, or whether it will be available through the API.
Why it matters
The reporting is pitched at advertisers who want to see what AI Max is doing in their campaigns. Google says it will help advertisers "better understand how customers interact with your business and validate the strategic value AI Max brings to your campaigns."
Two cautions:
- A preview is not a product. Until the view ships, you can't check it against your own account data. Judge it by what it shows once it's live.
- It is Google's own reporting on Google's own feature. It should answer the question of which search terms and landing pages AI Max used. It won't tell you whether those clicks were incremental, so keep your own conversion and lift measurement in place.
