Google Ads' AI Dashboards Start Appearing in Advertiser Accounts

Google Ads' AI Dashboards — announced back in August — have started appearing live in advertiser accounts, letting users build visual performance reports from a plain-text prompt instead of manually picking metrics and dimensions.

What was spotted

The rollout was first noticed by paid search expert Thomas Eccel, who shared it on LinkedIn. Instead of assembling a report field by field, advertisers can describe what they want to analyse and Google generates the chart. Each report also comes with a real-time AI-written summary aimed at explaining why the numbers moved, not just what they are.

Why it matters

This is another step in Google shifting advertisers from manually building reports toward asking questions in natural language and letting Gemini interpret the data — following the AI-powered insights already on the Ads homepage and the in-product Ask Advisor agent. The direction is consistent: less manual report construction, more time spent on the interpretation Google's AI has already done for you.

Whether that's a net win depends on how much you trust an AI-generated "why" over doing the diagnosis yourself — worth spot-checking the AI summary against the raw numbers before you act on it, at least while the feature is still rolling out.
