Google Business Profiles Adds a 'Collected Info' Tab for Reviewing Automated Data

Google Business Profiles now has a "Collected info" tab, giving owners a way to review — and delete — information Google's automated systems have gathered about their business.
What's happening
Google can contact businesses through automated calls, texts or WhatsApp messages to confirm details like opening hours or whether a particular service is offered. Until now, there was no clear way for an owner to see what Google had recorded from those exchanges or correct it if it was wrong.
The new tab sits under Edit profile and lists items Google's assistant has collected, with the option to review each one and remove anything outdated or inaccurate. Google's own help documentation confirms the feature and how to access it.
Rollout is uneven — references to the feature first surfaced in Google's documentation back in June, with screenshots appearing in July, but Google's current guidance still limits availability by region, language and business category. Don't assume the tab has reached every profile yet.
Why it matters
This closes a real gap. Automated data collection feeding directly into a Business Profile with no owner-facing audit trail was always going to cause friction — wrong hours or incorrect service info entering the profile from a bot call, with no way to see where it came from or fix it. A visible, editable log turns that into a normal profile-maintenance task instead of a mystery.
An important catch on deletion
Google's own help documentation for the feature includes a detail worth reading carefully before you rely on the tab as a fix: deleting an item from Collected Info "removes it from Google's records but does not change other details already on your Business Profile." In other words, if a bad piece of data from an automated call already propagated into your live profile — updated hours, an attribute, a service listing — deleting the entry in Collected Info removes Google's record of where that data came from, but doesn't automatically revert the profile field it changed. You still need to check the profile itself and correct any field the bad data landed in separately.
Each entry in the tab does let you inspect the item's accuracy, see its source, and see when it was gathered, per Google's documentation — so it's genuinely useful for auditing, just not a one-click undo.
What to do
- Check your dashboard for a "Collected info" tab under Edit profile — if it's not there yet, that's expected given the phased rollout; Google's help page confirms availability is limited by region, language and business category
- If it is there, review it as part of your regular profile audit, the same way you'd check hours, categories and attributes
- Delete anything inaccurate promptly — this is direct write access to what's feeding your listing, not a suggestion box
- After deleting a bad entry, separately check whether it already changed a live profile field, and correct that field directly — deletion doesn't do this for you
- Don't treat an empty tab as proof Google hasn't collected anything — it may mean the feature hasn't reached your profile yet, not that no data exists
